Details

This Smart Energy GB and Solace breakfast roundtable will discuss the opportunities for our councils and local residents created by the digitisation of the energy system, as smart meters are rolled out to every home and small business in Great Britain.

As illustrated by the National Infrastructure Commission’s ‘Smart Power’ report, the rollout of smart meters and other new technologies, coupled with a rise in community and decentralised energy solutions, offers a unique opportunity for us to harness this smart energy revolution.

The roundtable event will provide a forum to learn more about the national rollout, Smart Energy GB’s campaign to engage your residents, as well as a discussion on the importance of people-centric policymaking in developing smart infrastructure. We are delighted to be joined by the Chief Executive of Leeds City Council, who will be sharing with us an insight into the development of the city’s energy strategy.
