Using Digital Innovation to Tackle the Health and Social Care Challenge

With the shifting nature of local government funding and the challenge of self-sufficiency looming, local leaders have to find new and innovative ways to ensure the sustainability of local services for the future, as meanwhile pressure on services continues to increase.

Integration of health and social care remains a top challenge for many authorities across the UK. Meanwhile the push towards devolution and combined authorities continues apace. This transformation will not be possible without digital innovation, and local leaders of place have a vital role in ensuring this is not only recognised but also championed.

This Masterclass will hear from speakers who will share their ideas, case studies and examples of successful projects and how these are making a difference to tackling the challenges the sector faces. We hope to stimulate lively discussion, which will contribute to the ongoing thinking behind the work Solace is leading around Digital Leadership.

This event runs at the office of our host, and Solace Business Partner, CGI on Kings Place, 90 York Road, London, N1 9AG and Director Tim Roberts-Holmes will speak on the potential impact of digital technologies on service delivery. The Masterclass culminates with lunch, allowing you that really valuable time to meet, share ideas and build relationships with Public Sector leaders like you.

Leeds City Council Session: Leeds Care Record Case Study
Dylan will present a case study of how digital innovation has been used across the City of Leeds to help improve the health and wellbeing of its population. Included in this is the Leeds Care Record, which has led the way in creating an integrated digital care record across health and social care partners, designed to provide a single view of patient records. It is based on the design principle of having common standards across health and social care informatics and is facilitating more joined-up care and reducing the need for duplicate tests and inefficient paperwork.

Speaker: Dylan Roberts, Chief Information Officer at Leeds City Council
