In 2014, local authorities face continuous, ongoing financial challenges and, as a result, have reduced their staffing numbers considerably over recent years. Naturally, this has led to increased demands on staff development with an onus on nurturing strong leadership. With the overarching aim of ensuring that we continue to successfully deliver and refresh our services, we need to invest in and encourage our staff by providing them with clear leadership, opportunities and experience.
Raising the Bar will encourage everyone to think about how we can improve our services by looking at new ways to lead and develop our staff to suit future needs. The conference will hear from challenging and innovative speakers from business and sporting backgrounds and includes:
