Focus, the e-magazine for SOLACE members, is this month spotlighting full reports from the annual conference in Belfast, a referendum to scrap local income tax in a USA state and the sad death of a former SOLACE Director General, Michael Sanders.
The reports also include focus on migration, decision making in a new Northern Ireland, a new SOLACE officer for Wales and a conference to improve customer satisfaction in Scotland.
The present day Director General, David Clark, says that the collapse of Icelandic banks could be the least of local government's worries and SOLACE Gold Partner, Oracle, looks at some innovative social welfare that makes full use of digital technologies.
SOLACE has also released dates and launched websites for the next graduate event and a conference for the Northern Branch.
