Volunteers Wanted: Environment & Climate Change
Solace has many opportunities for you to use your talents and interests to become engaged and to play a role on the national stage. We are now looking for volunteers to support our ‘Environment and Climate Change’ activities. In addition to a Chief Executive interested in formally leading the profession’s activity, we are also looking for Solace members at all levels to contribute to this growing area of activity.
With the environment growing as a public priority, the Government introducing an Environment Bill and Councils across the UK declaring a Climate Emergency, this is an area of significant momentum. It provides an opportunity to feed into Government policy, provide a voice for the sector, and shape the tools and personal development that support colleagues in this area. Volunteering also provides opportunities for member connection, networking, and professional development.
